Adolescent Intensive Outpatient program (IOP)
Our program is designed to help adolescents and their families address maladaptive and self-destructive behaviors. We utilize a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) approach that incorporates other treatment modalities, including components of a 12-step model, hands-on activities, and experiential therapies, as well as yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and art. Patients and parents also benefit from the peer support that is gained in our group therapy setting.
We comprehensively address dual diagnosis disorders and tailor each patient's care based on their present individual needs. IOP meets four times weekly for three hours per evening. Programming is 12 hours per week at the beginning and the number of days attended decreases as a client works through the program with most clients coming 1 day per week prior to graduation. We believe it is imperative that patients and parents have support and skills coaching outside of treatment hours. Our clinicians are available 24/7 to provide crisis management and help with effective skill utilization.
Parents are an integral part of the therapy process. They participate in groups, which have been developed to provide education and coaching, skills training, and support. Each parent works to gain an understanding and acceptance of their own family dynamics and work with staff and their child to promote change. All clinical services are under direct supervision of a multi-disciplinary team.
